Import workflow

Check the exact commodity
USDA APHIS requirements vary by botanical commodity, plant part, intended use, and country of origin. The ACIR database is the controlling starting point.

Confirm permits and certificate language
Most plants for planting require an APHIS permit unless a specific exemption applies. The exporter coordinates the official phytosanitary certificate and any required additional declarations.

Prepare customs entry
The importer of record remains responsible for compliance. A licensed customs broker can prepare entry paperwork and help arrange the appropriate customs bond.

Inspect, release, and fulfill
Regulated plant shipments may be directed to an APHIS plant inspection station. After clearance and warehouse receipt, customer pickup or freight release is coordinated.

We notify the customer when the order is warehouse-ready. The customer may arrange pickup by its own freight provider or approve a delivery option suggested for that shipment.
Delivery invoice
Quoted after arrival
Delivery cost is based on destination and shipment weight. It is presented separately for approval and invoiced to the customer.
