Bartzella belongs to the so-called Itoh peonies: a crossing between tree peonies and herbaceous peonies.
 
Bartzella peony (Anderson, 1986)  A yellow, Itoh intersectional peony with soft red center flares. Huge semi-double flowers. A beautiful garden peony plant with lovely foliage and a pleasing, lemony fragrance. 
Bartzella is a truly unique peony. You'll be rewarded with a beautiful canary-yellow flower!
 
Bartzella never requires staking and produces side buds to extend the abundant bloom.
Early/Mid-season Itoh peony. Height: 34" - 36".  
 
Great faddition for cut flower garden. Mature plant can produce up to 60 stems per plant. Peony's lifespam can be as long as 50-100 years. Roots can be devided and make new plants

A mature Paeonia 'Bartzella' Intersectional Peony can produce 50 or more large flowers per year, with some plants producing even more, like 80 or more according to Walters Gardens, Inc. These flowers are borne on strong, erect stems that don't require staking
