Cosmos bipinnatus 'Purity' bears masses of pure white, single, saucer-shaped flowers, in contrast with bright green, feathery foliage.
Pure white. A classic summer flower having large 4" to 6" blooms on 3 ft. to 4 ft. tall stems. The foliage is finely cut, and the plants branch out and bloom profusely and continually.
Cosmos attract birds, bees and butterflies and are rarely bothered by pests or disease.

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-75 ºF soil temperature. Tip to bring your cosmos plants into bloom up to 3 weeks earlier when growing under fluorescent lights: once seedlings have emerged provide 11 hours per day of artificial light. Keep seedlings in complete darkness for the remaining 13 hours. After 2 weeks, keep the lights on for 14 or more hours per day.
Harvesting:
